Discussing with @JimJarmuschHair - one of the big losses of Chris Farley, was that we never got to see his inevitable attempt at dramatic chops. Who knows. It could have been transcendent.

Wasn't he working on a Fatty Arbuckle biopic? What I'd give to be in the alternate dimension where that happened.

Perhaps my hottest take is that I think if Phil Hartman were alive he could have been Walter White. At the very least he could have done something like what Martin Short did on Damages.

Now I’ll never not think of Phil Hartman as Walter White.

That Fatty Arbuckle movie and the original cut of Shrek appeared to do just that. Alas

Of all things, I think @mikeryan @kphipps3000 and @sepinwall briefly discussed what Farley could have been capable of on a recent episode of the “Random Movie Night” podcast.

He might have found his PT Anderson or Baumbach. Still rooting for Mike Myers to find his.

the “production” section of the black sheep wikipedia talks about how farley had to be talked into doing that movie with its half-baked fast-tracked script. i still like black sheep, and the jim carrey cable guy, but farley had much more to givehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sheep_(1996_film)?wprov=sfti1 …

I wouldn’t of seen Jim Carrey being able to pull off dramatic work based on Ace Ventura and dumb and dumber but dammit he did
