Okay I genuinely can't believe the stunning ignorance of some of the choices of "fixes" in red dead 2. Endlessly slow mechanics, having to slowly grab EVERY item you want. And keeping NPCs talking while you're trying to fucking READ items? This "realism" choice is insanity.

And hey Red Dead 2? If you want to make a movie? Make a fucking movie. Don't subvert every game mechanic in the name of slow-ass clunky cinematic immersion that doesn't actually understand cinema (which naughty dog does, by comparison)

Because the thing about storytelling is needs to understand drama and character. So far, this is just insufferable "realism" texture worshipping and mood with no real conflict whatsoever. I honestly could not imagine a sequel this backward. ALL the wrong lessons.

If I sound angry it's because I'm angry. Artistry can create the most beautiful, articulate looking things and endless work. And a lack of understanding purpose and undermine all of it. Good grief.

This isn't "controversial" - this is mind numbing backwardness of going back to the "every second realism" mantra that games learned to stamp out a fucking decade and a half ago. There is no upside. It strikes me as impossible delusion of someone who didn't know this.
