FWIW - pretty sure there's no planned act breakdown. I think more in terms of sequencing. You're going to have points A, B, C, D, and E in any movie. I think it's more important how you get to them (w/ propulsion and empathy) than that they exist.

Would you say your definition is more accurate for the term “act break”? I’ve always used your definition, but it seems to actually define the shift from one act to another (or the beginning on a new act) rather than what an act actually is.
