I just finished watching The Matrix like an hour ago for the umpteenth time and it never fails to amaze me how wonderful EVERYONE is in that movie.

I actually think he would have made a fantastic Spike in the Cowboy Bebop movie, too bad that fell through.

One of the things I love about MAN OF TAI CHI is how much he acknowledges and plays around with the limits of his range. There’s a scene where he laughs loudly and it’s so disturbing in part because he almost never laughs on film.

I think he has a bit more range than people give him. If you have not seen it, check The Neon Demon. Something different for him I feel.

Also, that supposed limited range covers a lot, there is no other comic actor who transformed into an action star. His biggest “failing” is that he is too modern for period pieces.

THANK YOU! He's been my number 1 for ages. People have this grand idea of what counts as emotive but sometimes it's just mood.
