Yeah, I stopped telling people stories from my childhood because I couldn't handle the shocked looks. Even the ones I'm able to make humorous still leave some people unsettled. Normal is relative.

Nah. I’m so much not the kid I once was, I’m not even sure what “on brand” would look like. I suspect that’s most peoples experience, and this exercise is for the freshly in their 20s and those looking for a little happy revisionism. That’s ok. Not wading into that is ok too.
