It's all about how divorced they are to their feelings. Because they watch craving a vicarious experience, when something makes them feel bad or unfulfilled it is so visceral to them it reads as OBJECTIVELY BAD. But they literally have no idea what's going on with them.

If suddenly the situation was reversed and marvel films faced the same kind of popular reaction? Who knows what the hardcore fanbase would be doing. But the point is there is a very different dynamic right now that plays into the difference in reaction.

It is true, that the DCEU fandom is seen in arguments more often, coz of constantly being shit on. If you're in the MCU fandom, & never speak ill of it, you won't see much vitriol from other MCU fans. But when it's pointed out, ppl shrug it off & say they're just trolls 1/2...

But when one DCEU fan acts foolish, it's the whole fandom that's bad. There's a big double standard.
