I felt insulted by The Last Jedi, not for any reasons you mention, but for subverting, deconstructing, and hanging upside down 40 years built up of George Lucas' Star Wars, and RJ treating it like his own plaything rather than honouring and continuing what came before him.

TLJ is disrespectful and straight up character assassinated Luke and the Jedi. It does a disservice to all the characters in the movie old & new. Introduces Spaceball humor to the saga that makes the villains a joke. It also doesn't pick up on many of the plot points in TFA.

Yep, there are literally so many things wrong with it, I'd need to write an article longer than Hulk's to get them all across. It's like stepping into a wormhole into an alternate dimension, of "Star Wars backwards land", nothing made sense relating to any of the prior 7 films.

I read your article, the thing is Luke had completed his heroic and spiritual journey over 3 films, overcoming all obstacles, physical, mental, and spiritual, to become a Master in the true sense of the word, he saved the spirit of his Father in the face of almost certain..cont>

disrespectful to everyone, from Lucas, to Hamill, to the fans, and completely unnecessary to boot, what an absolute tragic shame, I feel intuitively that J.J's outline for 8 and 9 would have been far more respectful, logical, cohesive, and satisfying for the majority of fans.

I feel like this film said something absolutely beautiful about who Luke became, and why, and ultimately became again. We are all faulty, even masters. Often, especially masters. But alas, be well.

Luke was faulty and overcame those faults, that is the purpose of development, and the heroes journey, and spiritual progression, to be knocked back to square one is just unrealistic and pointless. It was a depressing end to something many had waited over 30 years to see. Pity...pic.twitter.com/P6AKidohVS
