This drives me insane. I literally account for and explain why I'm NOT lumping people in together in chapter 1, I listened to people every argument for six months, wrote a counter-response to every single point. You either didn't actually read it, or you didn't like the answer. https://twitter.com/Idunnosomeguy/status/1013966599085322240 …

The film doesn't push away anyone. That anyone would think it does is a damning indictment of how they treat film.

Many of the gripes I have for the movie have already been said (like slow bombers instead of Y-Wings or B-Wings, the hyperspace bullet, etc.). I came away with the feeling that whatever expectations you have, the movie went out of it's way to subvert it, like being tricked.

It looked to me like they wanted to make these cool scenes, regardless of how they fit together or how they relate to what was established earlier or if they make sense.

I mean, I made a lot of arguments for how they make sense in the article?

In the end, I'm in the "speak with your wallet" crowd. If you don't like it, don't buy it. I didn't like The Ladt Jedi, so I didn't buy the Bluray, I didn't buy the toys, and I didn't watch Solo. I've been a Star Wars fan since the 70s (and over 40). Time to let go, I guess.
