I think a lot of people who dislike TLJ but don't fall into the toxic fan bucket are so used to hearing "everyone who doesn't like this movie is a toxic asshole crybaby" that they've stopped listening. It's a raw nerve to constantly get attached to idiots.

I guess this era of Star Wars wasn't meant for me. If there is a beliefs that expanding an audience means possibly angering and pushing away another audience, then only time will tell with the release of future movies and the related merch.
