idk I've seen a few critics lump fic and marginalized fans in general together with fans who demand their headcanons to be canon, the entitled bunch. It's happening in comics especially.

I saw someone talk about the differences between what they called archival vs transformative fandom, and those have different histories and places in the hierarchy of creator and fans. dudes are real fans who get to write spinoff books, everyone else is learning to write
