This really cleared up why TLJ seems so prone to people liking it on a second watch: If the turns in the plot make the movie feel slower for some people, knowing where the movie is going clears up their problem with it.

It's a tough thing cause given what I can do, I can "do the math on the fly" so to speak as I watch something, so I'm rarely thrown by emotional / story shifts. If the match checks out, I'm just often like "oooh, nice"
