This drives me kinda nuts. There's nothing "objective" about that statement. It actually makes perfect sense, but I'm writing about it and why people think it doesn't.

Okay. There's more to this. But are you familiar with military protocol at all? Superior officers do not have to share plans with subordinates. Period. The idea that is "logical" for her to do so makes no sense for someone who needs to learn not go off-book. But this goes deeper

Him being a loose cannon is his cross to bear. His actions at the beginning showed he was unworthy of intel and decision making. You’re saying that a superior officer should reveal their plans to those that are most likely to ignore them?

But she literally gives an inspiring speech, she never gives the appearance of shrugging her shoulders? Poe is both upset that she isn't doing things his way, and both bitter and unaccepting of his demotion because he believes he did the right thing with the bombers.

He's not interested in that glaring truth. What he doesn't like is THE FEELING her character gave him. Which is that of a scolding mother who took away his toys, or the smug superiority of a woman who dare know better than his mutinous plan. It's stealth male-entitlement.

And 10 times out of 10 I'd rather have guys say this outright. And half of them do, but the other half go into this nonsense, lying list of "objective reasons" it "makes no sense" when really it's their emotional insecurity. I've been watching this for 6 months. I'm done.
