One of my favorite things about this thread is the feeling of time-traveling back to the feeling you get during the first watch of a particular movie. I love first-watches. I love the emotional experience of everything about them.

Also favorite thing. How many people are using Brigsby Bear as their recent example. It's a perfect "know nothing" going in movie, as that was my experience. I loved it so much.

Cabin in the Woods. All I knew was that it was a horror movie with a Joss Whedon script. Oh boy.

Loving, First Reformed, and Moonlight were amazing watching cold. I didn’t realize Loving was a true story until halfway through!

I went to see interstellar opening night. I knew nothing except that it was a sci fI movie by Nolan starring mcconaughey. My friends and I stayed up until 4 am discussing it. It was quite literally a life changing cinematic experience

The Matrix. Best friend and I won tickets to see a special early screening having not seen the trailer. Our minds were blown.

They did a remarkable job of keeping the lid on the premise on The Matrix. When he woke up in a pod I lost my mind.

Living in Oblivion. The perfect movie about making movies for all filmmakers that no one has ever heard of.

I may get shit for this, but Clerks. It was on Amazon prime, and I defintiely thought Ben Affleck was in it. Nonetheless I wasn’t disappointed at all.

Kevin Smith went to my high school. Mom wanted to see the movie from the “local boy who’d made it”. Consequently, I saw Clerks in the theater. Sitting between my parents. Idk what dad thought was funnier: the movie or mom’s reaction.
