Understand I am not saying it is "okay" to leave an 11 year old behind. I am saying I want you to imagine the level of suffering you would have to be experience for that to even be in the realm of your mind. These aren't selfish acts of happenstance. They are fires of the mind.

Not being in nor experiencing that state of mind one can only try to understand. However, I can’t begin to imagine the life of pain that girl is condemned to. It’s all very sad and confusing: we all wanted to be him. I wanted to be him.

psychologists immediately convey is that it is a loss like any other, to disease, to accident, it is not a "choice" in the way so many think it is. More the losing of a battle like any other health concern. Traumatic? no doubt? But the extra trauma you are layering on now

Are the further traumas that come with the stigma surrounding a suicide. Even now you are unaware how you add to it. That girl lost her dad. The least you can do for her is stop making it seem like he chose death over her. That would be great, thanks.
