Because I apparently have to make everything super clear," hatchet job" refers not to the movie, but what was put out into the press in the wake of the decision.

Nothing about what I've had to say so far involves a need to see the film. Stop acting like it does.

My thought is a Solo origin story is only an interesting premise in the hands of people like Lord and Miller. Not that Howard isn’t capable - the drastic direction change signaled that Disney didn’t want this to be interesting.

I agree Disney wants it to be bland, but gut feeling is that it’s very possible their style of shooting didn’t work for the actors. Oh, and Lawrence Kasdan was supposedly furious with what they were doing with his script.

Take this as you want, but an interesting thought that’s come to me regarding Solo is that despite the higher-profile nature of Solo’s production issues, the film as a whole oddly feels more cohesive than RO, which more outwardly shows it’s own production problems.

What? This has literally nothing to do about crediting them, and don't talk to me about the honoring the collaborative nature of film. Trust me, I know what that means.

Hatchet job? Are you serious, Hulk? I’m so confused....

... The official and unofficial statements Disney released in the wake of the firing were, quite frankly, pretty disgusting and revealed a level of pettiness I have not seen from a major studio maybe ever.
