In my years covering incel bullshit, I've had so many men, telling me they couldn't bear to read about them, on account of how horrifying they are. I have not had any women say this to me. This is significant.

I think men with good intentions think they are being good allies by being so deeply repulsed by these fuckfaces that they can't bring themselves to read their missives on how women who wear leggings should "get the rope" and what have you.

And they ARE repulsive. They are dangerous. They repulse me, too, but I don't feel that ignoring them is an option. And with things like this recent mass killing, it becomes even more important to keep tabs on them.

We have to force ourselves to look at the ugliness in the world -- particularly ugliness that more directly affects others than ourselves -- if we are ever going to figure out how to combat it. Men need to see this shit in order to fully understand what we're dealing with.

I was under the impression incel was just another insult that could be interchanged with neckbeard... never really looked into it. Till now. I’m sure a lot of men are in the same boat as me and taking it seriously now.
