I don’t understand the “Avoid using viewport units” advice. What kind of problem does this prevent? Could you give an example?
Gmail renders AMP inside an iframe. The viewport of the document inside the iframe is the outer size of the iframe. This means viewport units act quite different from what they would in a browser window, where they are the size of the area the user sees.
