I bought an AirPods Pro clone for ~$20 and the buds sound very nice for the price. Some extra mids wouldn't hurt, they have sharp highs, but they also have bass, so that's something. 
It's not boosted bass, it's more on the pleasant side of the spectrum, in the background.

Indeed. I really won't complain for this price, it performs how it performs. I just was annoyed by my old wireless buds, because they are too tiny and if I'm in a rush I can't put them away (the housing is like a tiny egg too
