I know I didn't know any better when I first started, if I had someone to teach me artist/social media etiquette I'm sure I would've understood the differences between what is ok and what isn't a lot faster. Teach the future of artists, don't shut them down y'all
This! This has happened to me in the past when a young girl reposted and claimed my work, but she was a nice enough kid to take it down :)
I'm so glad to hear that! Here's proof that kids can be understanding and just need to be taught what the right thing is! Thanks fo sharing
THIS!! i'm so tired of the art community blasting kids or people who are obviously trolls constantly! they do it bc they love the attention it gets
i agree but also kids dont care at all. if they dont do it the second and third time you ask then too bad for them theyre gettin the call our lmaoooo.
This happened to me lol, I was mortified! Now imagine if it was on social media now! XD
I agree to this. I saw someone publicly out someone for "tracing". Not only was she humiliated but she stopped drawing all together. Poor girl got harassed as well. Not cool. She apologised profusely, said she was only trying to learn and loved said person's work.
bless you for this, tbh. I know as a kid I did a lot of heavily referenced pieces (not actually traced but may as well have been, just total rips) from popular artists and posted them without any sort of credit. I just didn't think bc i was a stupid teen. Might have made me quit
Yes to this!! When I was 13 I took art of a cartoon wolf off google, changed the eye color l, and posted it. I didn't even THINK about it being art theft at the time. Someone politely commented about it, told me the real artist and I immediately took it down. It's that easy!
