    Once upon a time (the 2000s,) the USPS was not only self-funded requiring NO taxpayer funds to operate, but also made BILLIONS of dollars in Government "profit"which they call surplus. Actually a model of government efficiency. The GOP couldn't have that.

    BREAKING: Seattle Police Department will no longer be a part of the removal of Homeless Encampments in our city. They will no longer be in charge of destroying shelter and belongings of our unhoused communities. This is a huge victory and one we’ve fought for decades.

    When we lived in public housing my mom started a community garden to grow food to save money and to occupy the kids that lived there and the public housing authority came & pulled out all the plants and poured bleach into the ground to destroy it. Because gardens weren't allowed.

    I’m sure many people have said this, but I haven’t seen anything about it. Why isn’t there a set of TV channels available nationwide by September that has school curriculum taught all day with simple scheduling? It would be more accessible than everyone needing a computer + wifi.

    I don't have many regrets in life but one of them was backing down in high school when I said this was wrong because I didn't have enough facts to dispute "they wouldn't have stopped".

    The United States is still the only country to commit a war crime of this magnitude, and people in the US are still taught that it was necessary and good.
