At an unrelated press conference, D.C. Mayor Bowser defended Jack Evans in light of the WMATA ethics probe. She said he should be proud of his work on the board advocating for dedicated funding. I’ll share full transcript soon

Yes - let’s all read the report. You’d think a Mayor might be a little more curious.

Birds of a feather stick together.

The original phrase used the word “flock,” but this situation is so icky that “stick” seems more appropriate.

She also probably said “Please don’t look over here at the no-bid contracts my administration awarded. They have nothing to do with this.”

As the chief elected official, one would think
@MayorBowser would welcome a closer examination of ethics on the Council. Tough to follow her, one day, they're liars, the next day, she's defending them. -
It’s pretty alarming that we can never know where she actually stands on ethics

The letter was addressed to
@GovLarryHogan@GovernorVA b/c they were the ones to ask for the@wmata investigation, not@MayorBowser. To date, the only DC elected officials who’ve sent a letter requesting the Jack Evans investigation are 9 ANCs and we did that 3 weeks ago.pic.twitter.com/FZEkQdXzBv

Mayor Bowser has very little credibility. Both she and Jack Evans have been feeding out of the trough of developers.
