asking this out of genuine curiosity and not to be an ass, but does the new West Side story actually improve on anything from the original that makes it worth watching rather than just rewatching the incredible original film?

Can’t wait. Saw original at age 15, dancing knocked me out. Eager for Justin Peck’s choreography. And David Alvarez.

David Alvarez has a strong background as a classical dancer. I expected to see him dance a lot more, some jumps and well executed movements were covered by the crowd and this did not help him because the dance is one of his strengths. - Show replies
