I am fascinated and intrigued by this photo (taken by Igor Kazus in 1988) showing the hyperboloid towers on the Oka River in Central Russia, designed by Russian engineer and scientist Vladimir Shukhov and built between 1927 and 1929. Since 2005, only one of the pylons remains.
