Some critics say they recognise traces of traumatic war experiences in his paintings, but Beksiński has clearly denied this interpretation. In any case, for a week now I have not been able to get his oneiric visions out of my head

I find this paintings very good from a technical point of view, but very unsettling. Can’t look at it very long. And I don’t believe a damn bit that it has nothing to do with trauma.
