Mmmm, hadn't seen those landscapes before. They're terrific. They get the weird lonely ache of big farming landscapes. Not quite nature, not quite civilisation. Not entirely hospitable to animal or man, except under certain very tightly defined, rather harsh conditions.

(I'm not saying that as a put-down of farming landscapes, either... I grew up in such landscapes, in Ireland – smaller fields, but not wildly dissimilar – and I also appreciate how necessary they are. Our vital, hard-to-hold, frontier with nature. Feeding the oblivious cities.)
