Just learned about the Senegalese national sport, Laamb—the Senegalese wrestling—that takes its roots from the wrestling tradition of the Serer people and their preparatory exercises for war.

Many villages have annual wrestling festivals. My wife's village has one every year. It goes on all weekend. Drummers keep things going between fights. It's a real spectacle.
