What the HECK!!?! Wow. It has a GRATICULE?!!?!?!? This is astonishing. I know of no graticules anywhere near so early, by centuries!!

As far as I know, the geometric grid reference for maps was introduced in China by Zhang Heng (AD 78–139), that is before Ptolemy published his 'Geography' (around AD 150). See H. Nelson (1974) 'Chinese Maps: An Exhibition at the British Library'. The China Quarterly. 58: 357–362
