I’ve seen that. A Polish photographer would not have listed his place of birth as Bischofsburg, but as Biskupiec.

Das stimmt: Ein Pole, der betonen möchte, dass er Pole ist, hätte wahrscheinlich "Biskupiec" angegeben. So gesehen, ist "Polish-born, Düsseldorf-based" eine präzisere Beschreibung.
