It's the "ugly friend" effect, sometimes known as the "cheerleader" effect. Tulsi seems like a better candidate than she is because the other politicians around her are just so damn terrible. Critique her without comparison to others and you realize she's got major red flags.

The US used to be ranked #1 in education in the world in the 1950s and 1960s. After the creation of the US Department of Education, we’ve sunk to the bottom of the heap for developed countries. The DOE is not the sole cause for the decline, obviously, but it hasn’t prevented it

The only argument folks have for voting for McCarthy is “he isn’t a democrat.” We’ve played that game enough times to know how it ends. Anyone who values freedom needs to be on the side of the House Freedom Caucus. Otherwise you’re just part of the problem at this point.
