I'm still not keen on the concept, but I can forgive it if the actual storylines are good this series, and they're not just forcing the gender thing at us in the dialogue every five minutes.

I think there's already a bit of a problem if the idea of a female doctor has to be forgiven based on a personal measure of quality. There's really nothing bad about the concept of telling a story about a female character.

It's not the female character I'm worried about, it's the writing team who set out to create a bisexual character for the first time and gave us the oh-so-subtle Captain Jack Harkness. =OP
