Curious which of these are run by the chaebols if any. Would be interesting to see their reporting style vs others considering one of their own (Daniel Shin) is partly tied to the downfall

Saying that MBC and JTBC are left leaning might be a bit of a stretch… or it might depend on your definition of “left”. Media in Korea is rather conservative overall. (Not disputing their quality or journalistic rigor)

Indeed, the tweet is highly simplistic. As I understand it, Korea's 'centre' per se is what the West would consider right-adjacent, and using that as a reference point, there are left-leaning and right-leaning channels - but not nearly as polarized as American media?
