An anonymous account made a baseless claim that they were able to access the contents of private group chats on Telegram. No such vulnerability has ever been found. This is likely a hoax with the intent to get users to download malware.
No, that's not the intention. It is a hoax, yes, but it was purely a creative writing exercise for his entertainment - and TBF it has been amusing seeing some of the big CT accounts squeal in denial. Sadly we will never see the real chats.

This is my view (based on the fact that it is technically impossible at a protocol level to look into private Telegram groups), but there is always the chance that it could be real. Very unlikely though.
