The depressing part is he had the good sense to sell when the peg hit $0.80, but everything was blocked off and his transaction disappeared - several other users are reporting similar occurrences, and many were only able to withdraw under $0.20. @PrimeTrustCo Where were you?

I, too, have withdrawals in pending status. I made the decision to withdraw via Alice (thus, through @PrimeTrustCo ) because it was a direct offramp to my bank account. I didn't want to go through the trouble of sending to an exchange.

Same. Withdrew early on 05/09 (it was actually a small test of the off-ramp, had no idea the bloodbath that would ensue). Weeks later still “pending” but unable to access any of it @alice_finance

You give some hope to many people after this bloody de peg Luna story and they feel that someone is standing for them.
This is why we need regulation. The cryptocurrency sector has proven that it's unable to govern itself and so must fall under the same purview as banks, securities etc. The wild wild west needs to be controlled.
