This burnt/mint system was the foundation of Terra/LUNA's value. Terra arbitrarily turned it off citing governance concerns (which could have been mitigated by disabling staking alone rather than Terra's primary economic mechanism). This breaks one of their core promises. (2/2)

It's fine for models to fail - that happens all the time. It's not fine for the primary promised economic mechanism to be turned off for nebulous reasons, especially when a clear alternative was available that didn't jeapordize seigniorage.
