Heads up, Creators: On Dec 13-14 you may see a noticeable decrease in your sub count as we remove spam subscriptions. If spam is removed, you'll see a YouTube Studio alert: https://goo.gl/qGDBvX This should help give you confidence that the subs you do have are real fans!

Hi I recently hit 1000 subs about two weeks ago and reapplied to monitization , still waiting for the registration to clear, if this cuts drops my subcount to below 1000 subs what will happen, will it cancel my application?

We want to be fair to those creators who worked hard to reach the program threshold with legitimate subscribers. You can reapply once you’ve rebuilt your subscribers organically!

Please can you elaborate how that is fair, YouTube took monitization away in the first place? I worked hard to reach the threshold, didn't use bots or illicit means to do so, if some of my subscribers were bots mining data it was completely out of my control.

If the some subs are bots you didn't really reach 1000 subs.

Not arguing, but If you look trough your subs , you will always find a handful of suspect bit accounts it really is unavoidable. In my case if just 7 accounts of those are bots my application gets canceled
