There are fucking people who need food that are volunteering in soup kitchens. This guy is great, but he's no extraordinary hero.

I'm afraid that a lot of people have misinterpreted the fact that some groups are disproportionately impacted by to mean that everybody in those groups is being extremely careful. This is not the case, and I suspect that this ridiculously woke framing is harmful.

Why are so many of the memes shared by people who don't really know how to use the internet often extremely fuzzy, like they're copies of facsimiles of copies from the '80s? I'm afraid that this phenomenon is inexplicable.

People hate on Twitter, understandably, but it's an awesome place to mock Instagrammers since they'll never see it. And if they do see it, they won't understand it. When I think of the IG crowd, I think of Brad Pitt in "Burn After Reading."

I am serious when I ask, as I often do, where dummies on IG find the insipid inspirational quotations to accompany their selfies. Is there some kind of clearinghouse for this stuff? I know these people don't read books, so it ain't that.

I love a situation in which everybody gets what they deserve - the fans, the players, parents, the ref, and everybody who enjoys laughing at people who like this dumbest of all sports ...

Reading about how college applications are way down and think it's great. There is no bigger waste of time and money. I would do anything to have all those years and loan payments back.

Podcasters be like: We are telling the important stories that aren't being told except by the journalists who researched and wrote the original material that we ripped off to make this episode.

As if anybody outside of the bubble listens to podcasts. It's incestuous amplification, plain and simple. Hilarious that people think they are moving needles with their values.

It's no wonder Chapo is so popular. Everything else is either neoliberal drivel or wokity woke woke bullshit. Please give me some recs. Please show me some hosts who aren't trying to show me what great people they are.

Went looking for some new podcasts the other night and mostly found nothing but a whole bunch of woke nonsense. Hosts showing off how progressive they are first and telling stories second. It's all peer approval, little entertainment.

We anticipate that will get lots of hate mail for this one since Comcast is such an awesome company and people are just waiting to march in the streets defending their excellent service and low low rates ...

But basically I'm just saying that when something works, it's best to leave it. I guess a lot of it is about honesty. Always learning on the job for sure. But at this point, I know that I am not here to waste anyone's time - my own, or that of the reporters I work with.

It's about a lot of the national editors I worked with. Always fussing. Most of the time they were right. But not always. And I was a pretty big pushover.

I understand the instinct of editors to always want to mess with everything, since they are being paid to do a job, but in 7 years of editing I have learned that I was always right back when I was a writer in thinking that a lot of editors screw with stuff for no good reason.
