He has no idea the ramifications of what he is saying. Doubling the class size would not work. They can not teach classes with 30 in them now without a parapro. My son who has autism would never survive a class setting with 60 people in it...
The way you know Bloomberg doesn’t believe this is that he’d never send his kid to schools like the one he describes. His daughter went to Spence, where tuition is $54,650 and the average class is 16 students. My wife is a student aid for kids in public schools who have autism or other issues. There’s no way that would work. They school right now is having issues with these kids because it’s in a low income area. You might as well close the school than pretend you’re educating them.
