Regardless of who’s in the DC Council, we still have to push our representatives to deliver for those most impacted by systemic oppression. We also hope to see more commitment to holding D.C. agencies accountable for truly serving community needs.

Earlier this month, D.C. voters cast their ballots and the results brought changes in membership to the DC Council in Wards 3 and 5, opened up a vacancy for Labor & Workforce Development Committee chair, and solidified that D.C. voters support increased wages for tipped workers.
