I dunno. The kids traveling around are nice enough but I have heard some horror stories about back home. It's interesting regarding the current conception of the white male American and patriarchy/misogamy, and their place withinthat theater.

I regard them as the kind of people who are relatively honorable and keep their word. used to be admirable qualities. I wouldn't want to be a Mormon fwiw.

yes that. I have relatives on my mother's side who are Mormons. I wouldn't call them "bad" people, just burdened with wacky beliefs.

they are all over mesoamerica as well. they send them out young, in pairs with white shirts and ties to push the book before they even know who they are. they also have groundless ideas about ancient biblical tribes who settled in the region.

i've known tons of Mormons because of where i grew up, and, in my experience, your everyday average Mormon person is just like your average Catholic or Protestant, i'm not saying there aren't really bad ones, but it's not most of them

I spent some time living in Utah, near Salt Lake City. For the vast majority of Mormons I met, I didn't know that they were Mormon until it randomly came up after knowing them for a long time. Most Mormons are like most other religious people -- or, like most people in general.
