Does anyone know if someone has made the connection between the notion of karma and the neuro-psychological phenomenon of priming? While delving into the neuroscience and psychological literature on priming, I couldn't help but think of karma as an apt allegory for it.

Right. The actions you take, emotional states you inhabit, and conceptual schema you work with all greatly influence your future experiences.

Not in the sense of "you get what you deserve", just that your present state is *always* intimately conditioned by prior experiences, and everything you do in the present is being integrated into the web of influences that will condition your future experiences.

right, and your initial state when your awareness "boots up" is conditioned by things as well. priming from your parents, society, and history. there aren't really any moments in your life that are free from karmic priming.
