How fragile do one's attainments have to be that calling out the abuse of the teacher who helped you reach these attainments invalidates them?

Was referring to Buddhists who justify or otherwise defend psychological and/or sexual abusive actions of Dharma teachers. Some will go to absurd lengths to do so, unfortunately.
