Viewing every story through an anti-Trump or anti-Right lens in general leads us astray because ultimately, we should be trying to change people's minds, not pretending that everything is due to racism and xenophobia (that's not to say much of it isn't).

My conception of what "mindful resistance" would entail is paying attention to how current events are affecting us emotionally, and being able to view those effects objectively.

It can then easier to ask what is the most *useful* way to respond, instead of what feels the most compelling. I think this newsletter generally does a decent job at addressing Trump-related news in a level-headed way.

Tribal political discourse is contagious. Perhaps mindful political discourse can be as well. The way we find out is by trying.
