I wonder if there’s a correlation between Buddhism and alcoholism. They seem to perform the same functions to alleviate suffering, although alcohol has long-term negative side effects.
I can certainly see that if one is too identified with thoughts, it'll be difficult to see them as they are initially. Once you know how to see thoughts as they are, they are no longer a problem. Would you agree with that?
