Harmonizing with the laws of nature would be admitting our impending extinction and meeting it with unflinching grace and acceptance, not fantasizing about being saved by yet another Messiah -- be that God or Technology.
I think a bit of screaming may be entirely appropriate. How about leaving suitably bottled messages to nonhuman successor civilizations?

Actually, I think my optimistic position is mostly this spoken by Tao, i.e. belief in immortality.

Definitely not! I have got little chance to explain that here, but Tao + physics ( the constructor theory of information ) makes sense to me.
