Failure is central to product management. Every single hypothesis that a PM makes is a failure calculation. Successful is all about understanding how customer centric OKR's break or fail.

1/ Ever seen a company where customers loved the product but the company STILL failed? Over 10 years I’ve seen this way too many times. It’s caused me to question whether the importance product market fit is a myth. Check this out 👇

Two methods of recruiting fantastic product managers that startups commonly overlook: (1) hire founders of recently shut down startups (2) cross-functional transfers from within. Both methods often yield higher quality PMs than external recruiting of "career" PMs. Here's why...

Excellent post on crafting ur product team to match the startup phases👇 Loved the phrase "Drunken walk" for initial phase - its like stumbling around drunk, trying to build something people want! > "How to craft Product Teams frm Pre-PMF to Hypergrowth"

As per SEBI (credit rating agencies) Regulations 1999, a Credit Rating is an expression of "opinion". Credit Rating cos are therefore like Vir Sanghvi on food tasting, or Ram Guha on history. Paid to express their opinions.

Hmm you know, what interesting is that visa could have built this in house, but it would have cost a billion dollars but taken 10 years and they would have failed 3 times. So this is kinda like outsourced process R&D. Sure it costs 5x but it’s guaranteed to work.

Math problems I wish I had gotten as a kid: Sally has 30 🍎. She gives one 🍎 to Joe for free. Joe buys 5 more 🍎 as a result for $1/🍎. She sells the rest for $0.50/🍎. What was Sally’s blended CPA, ROAS, CLV, and does she have product/market fit? If so, why? Show your work.

The internet has both created and destroyed vast profit pools for B2C businesses. Mattresses are a solid case study: the industry has been squeezed by a) price transparency & b) lowered barriers to entry. Tuft & Needle was founded in ‘12, w/ $6k and grew to $100M w/ no VC funding
