The Trumps never inserted their own money into their Foundation. If Trump promised someone a disbursement they pumped a vendor or partner for a donation to the Foundation, then used that. See also the flagpole fine settlement at Mar A Lago

I believe the person who impersonated someone was charged in the planned parenthood sting but this one is just someone lying to the press. Karma is real, tho, so they’ll pay eventually.
