The video encapsulates what happened on Weds: different officers within the same department had *hugely* different reactions to the same threat. What we don’t know is how much of this was individual officers’ decisions and how much was orders from commanders.

They were standing in front of the doors and keeping the mob at bay (mostly). At some point they moved aside for some reason...and just stood there.
