President Trump your dad Fred Trump was born in The Bronx in 1905 not Germany why do you keep saying this...what is even going on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Trump#Early_life …

Grandpa was born in Germany
-
That's right. Grandfather German. Fred Trump was always a quintessential New York guy. About as NY as NY gets. I have no idea how the president conflates this.
-
One of the least untrue things he's said. People often say they're German or Italian as shorthand for where their people came from. What's funny is that Trump was raised to tell people his roots were in Sweden. Fred thought that sounded better to Jewish tenants and associates.
-
No. He said "Both my parents were BORN in EU sectors". That's quite different than saying 'my father was german' meaning of german descent.
-
FWIW, I post to this tweet two screenshots from "Art of the Deal" and Gwenda Blair's 2001 Trump family biography. The latter is 600 pages, before DJT got into politics. The most detailed bio on the family probably available.

Jesus Christ - Are there any faithful Christians left in this country to denounce this charlatan? He's going to kill us all.

Christianity and Fascism have a long and harmonious relationship.

At some point we will cease to be shocked by anything coming out of this president. If my sewage backs up in my house, I'm not going to analyze it. We need a plumber. It's not the White House. It's not the Republican's House. It's America's House and we need to clean house.
-
I ceased to be *shocked* by 45 a long time ago. Outraged, incensed, and/or nauseated still apply, however.

getting more like the mad hatter's tea party by the second... I would love to see a complete newsblock on his inane prattling...
-
At least summary notes on what he was trying to say. No more video streams, no more pictures of the labia-necked drooler. Just a brief statement on what trump was saying. 'Trump says China, Russia and EU are foes on trade.' Pretty much the best I can gather from this word salad.
-
But that would hide the full extent of his unreasoning bullshit. Smoothing out the edges of his vitriolic raging incompetence imparts it a veneer of rationality that it doesn't deserve to possess.
-
Loved this response .. but is there really any point in covering Trump at all? The glory of his redundant repetitive phraseology against the vapid verbal diarrhea?
-
I think that's a question for before the election - giving a blustering liar with no obvious clear idea of anything massive airtime was an issue then. Now he's the president, there's no real choice. But properly, more forcefully than now, dissecting the lies has to go with that.
-
Yes, yes, all of this, yes. Rewatching the debates because they are linked in twitter more in the last 48 hours just makes me wonder .. what the hell did people vote for?? It is mind numbing ...
-
I ask that every damn day!
