There's a reason we call Gracie Mansion the People's Home — a place where we welcome all New Yorkers, of all backgrounds.
Tonight, we did just that hosting our first-ever Nowruz celebration alongside our Persian community in NYC.
Happy Nowruz!

No recommended or adopted increase has ever come close to this number, and this year will be no different. Any group suggesting otherwise is irresponsibly fearmongering and doing a disserve to the working New Yorkers this administration is fighting for every day.

The 16% number put out by the Rent Guidelines Board today is part of a standard annual report, only reflects one assessment of landlords’ increased costs, and does NOT in any way represent a recommendation from the RGB or this administration.
Quote Tweet
This is outrageous. What working New Yorker can afford a 16% rent increase when the cost of living is already out of control? Mayor Adams and his appointees on the Rent Guidelines Board are working hard to make NYC unlivable for ordinary people.

We have done everything possible to provide support to the thousands who have arrived, but to deny people the ability to work legally sets them up for failure.

Sounds like House Republicans are visiting NYC because they’re afraid of rising crime in their own districts.
NYC is getting safer, especially when compared to the higher number of murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries and thefts per capita in counties in 's district.

At every opportunity, conservatives on the bench try to take us 50 years back in time.
Banning one of two medication abortion drugs needed for an effective abortion is just another attempt to control women’s bodies, their choices, and their freedoms.
We won’t stop fighting.
