The FTF_AEAS promoted dry season rice farming in Niger State, with the adoption of the most impactful practices (MIPs) of improved seeds and mechanized land preparation, s coming up very confidently. Farmers look forward to a great harvest this season.

The Extension Activity has been supporting smallholder farmers in deploying the most impactful practices in dry season rice farming in Kebbi and Niger State. These MIPs include improved seeds and mechanized land preparation.

Extension Activity partnered HONDA and TOPHAN to on the HONDA FQ650 Power Tiller Work Study in Kaduna state. Carried out in 2 soil conditions -heavy irrigated soil, and sandy loam with little moisture, it is to determine the economics of using small tiller equipment at SHF level.

In Cross River State, @FTF_AEAS partnered with #newgenerationutrition on the production of larvae from black soldier flies as fish feed. This #technology is expected to reduce the cost of #fish feeds by 30% & create #jobs for youths willing to go into insect rearing as a business
